The original pre-war Scale-Craft OO decals (introduced with their line of OO models in 1937), applied and in good condition, enhance the value and collector interest of any vintage Scale-Craft model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To help in locating those models, the following is a gallery of prewar Scale-Craft decal drawings, which were supplied with the decals in their kits. Almost all match perfectly the catalog illustrations of their American OO gauge models (although occasionally the drawings found are of their O gauge models — the MP stock car drawing below is of the O scale version, but was found in an OO kit). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prewar decal line is described more fully in the book. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the war these drawings were still supplied, but the actual decals were not the original Scale-Craft decals, and were instead made by Walthers (and were HO scale, not OO). <\/a> A few new drawings were certainly produced in this era, I would note especially the GN and Seaboard boxcars and the PFE\/WP and Pluto reefers below as likely 1946 drawings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
