These were produced in HO, OO, and O gauges. While reefer cars were also marketed in O and HO, only the boxcars were produced in OO. According to their advertisement in the May, 1941 issue of <em>Model Railroader<\/em>, these sides were<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Manufactured from fine grades of Bristol board coated with semi-gloss enamels.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Lettering and heralds correctly styled in full rich colors. Rivets \u2026 are sharply raised\u2026. No inks, cuts or type of any kinds are used in the manufacture of these sides.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/americanootoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Scale-Rail-MR-5-41.jpg?resize=244%2C378&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1189\" width=\"244\" height=\"378\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/americanootoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Scale-Rail-MR-5-41.jpg?w=408&amp;ssl=1 408w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/americanootoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Scale-Rail-MR-5-41.jpg?resize=194%2C300&amp;ssl=1 194w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 244px) 100vw, 244px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They were reviewed in the same issue of <em>MR. <\/em>There they note that &#8220;The rivet detail on the box cars is reproduced without distorting the surrounding material&#8230;. The only problem with using these sides is matching the paint. It is not easy at all to do. With a close match these sides build up into great cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their advertisement in the June, 1941 issue of <em>MR<\/em> lists OO boxcar sides for UP, NP, Santa Fe, NKP, and C&amp;EI. They sold for 25 cents a pair.
