In the book I tried to include as many photos of specific models as I could. One line I have a special interest in is Graceline, in particular their early models with the hand painted sides.

Here is one that did not make it in the book, a recent eBay find. It is a bit rough but still is a nice example of their steel reefer with the brass, hand painted sides. It came to me without trucks; those seen here are Graceline Andrews trucks of the same production era as the model itself.

One can only imagine how it looked when it was produced in the late 1930s! Happy to have this vintage model. For more on Graceline see this article or my book.
